Meet The Doctor
Dr. Heidi Yang
Dr. Yang grew up in Eastern KY – Boyd County.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. After college, she found herself at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, devoted to helping the underserved. She participated in mission trips focusing on dental care for disadvantaged communities and advocating for accessible dental treatment where it was desperately needed.
In pursuit of specializing, she finished a general practice residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital, New Hyde Park, NY. She then continued on to complete her pediatrics training at Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY. Those experiences confirmed her life’s passion to be a pediatric dentist.
Currently practicing for over 25 years in the Louisville metro area, she maintains active membership with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and local dental associations.
Downtime includes hanging with Rudy her mini goldendoodle fur ball, accompanying her husband Rodney and family to college (you’ll have to guess which one) football games and spending time with her two kids Natalie and Matthew, who share her passion of exploring new places and eating all of the local food wherever they go. She enjoys talking to her dental office family about simple tasty recipes and grocery coupons…. even though she cannot cook! Feel free to chat with her about food, music, movies, Broadway shows, books, sports, and good hiking trails, but fair warning, ~as expected~ she won’t stop talking and asking questions!
Dr. Yang’s go-to karaoke songs include “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell and, more recently, “Fast Car” by Luke Combs/Tracy Chapman
Ice cream is a food group, period.
